BetaTrac®
The BetaTrac® shares its frame with the OmegaTrac® It is intended for use with individuals weighing more than 450 pounds or more than 400 pounds with a powered seat, but may be specified for any use when extra heavy-duty capacity is needed. The BetaTrac® may be specified to have either dual 3.00-10, single 4.00-8 or single 6.25-8 drive wheels. It has four front and three rear suspension springs, all at two and a half inches in diameter. It is fitted with one of three sizes of very heavy-duty roll stabilizer bars. The rear suspension yoke is extra heavy duty with third spring mounting pad. Like the OmegaTrac® it has a quartz hour meter. It is geared from 3 to 4.5 mph in steps, depending on the weight and terrain. Even though the BetaTrac® is a bariatric unit, several are used off road by hunters and fishermen. In the non-powered seat assemblies, a tow hitch is available. It has a tractive force of several hundred pounds. The BetaTrac® base is less than 32 inches wide and will go through a three-foot doorway with the door open to 90 degrees. However, the seat and its armrests may be wider and may determine the minimum door opening.

The standard capacity for the BetaTrac® is for persons weighing up to 650 pounds. In custom configuration, persons over 700 pounds have used BetaTrac®s™. XXHD FirstClass®™ seats can be ordered in any size. Footrest configurations include sliding footplates on a transverse sliding bar, swing away hangers at 90, 80, 70, and 60 angles, and custom versions with single flip up footplates. Depending on the size and configuration of the seat back, the BetaTrac® minimum turning radius is 30.5 inches. As the seat back widens, and the back moves aft, the turning radius becomes defined by the corner of the seat or the tip of the push handles if they are installed, and not the caster that defined the 30.5-inch radius.
